While I'm sure you wouldn't put it past us, we're sure, Playhouse on Park is NOT throwing a lingerie party! But, we are excited to host another awesome hangout session centered around our upcoming Main Stage historical drama, Intimate Apparel. The next Young Professionals Night Out will include a pre-show, networking reception from 6:30-7:45, followed by the show at 8 pm. Reception will include complimentary snacks, along with some sips from Hartford Flavor Company!

Written by the two-time Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Lynn Nottage, Intimate Apparel tells the story of Esther, an African American seamstress who supports herself by creating exquisite lingerie for wealthy socialites of Manhattan. As described by playwright Paula Vogel, "Lynn Nottage's work explores depths of humanness, the overlapping complexities of race, gender, culture and history--and the startling simplicity of desire--with a clear tenderness, with humor, with compassion."
